RSR videos

Video 1- Rok Star stripdown. This video is just the basics of how to take the Rok Star apart.

Video 2- The atomiser stripdown. How to strip down the Rok Star atty, Simple clear instructions on how to get it right down to the coil and wick, showing a good possibility of re-wiring it.

Video 3 - The air flow adjustment ring. Maintenance / Inspection video on the Rok Star Air flow adjustment ring. Have you got trouble with a loose ring ? check this video out for some good pointers to inspecting it.

Video 4 - Dry burning the atomiser. Video demonstration of 'Dry Burning' the Atty for the Rok Star. ONLY to be undertaken when Vapour production has diminished considerably, often accompanied by muted flavour. Breathes new life into these robust little buggers, sometimes they do need to be 'broken in' again, just like a new Atty ! I personally find that this works really well and has improved my Attie's performance. I should warn everybody that Dry Burning an atty can cause catastrophic failure ! Please understand that You do so at your own risk, my video is intended as a guide once you have decided to go down that route. If 'over burning' occurs, then the wick lifetime is greatly shortened and it's ability to wick is reduced, REMEMBER, keep going until you see the coils just starting to glow red and no more, as this will cause severe wick damage.

Video 5 - The adapter. A handy little bit of kit that enables You to connect the Rok Star tank to any 510 battery, including Provari, lava tube, Ego etc. Get this sent FREE POST from www.libertyflights.co.uk for just £2.99 or £2.54 if you use the discount code SAS10 (15% discount).

Video 6 - The Rok's alter Ego. This video is all about cheap OFFICIAL spares from other vendors within the EU and information about the REAL patent owners and the manufacturers of the EGO 808, otherwise known as the Rok Star.

Video 7 - The shiney Rok Star. A very quick video on the basics of stripping the black covering off of the Rok Star electronic cigarette, sanding with 300 grade emery cloth and a quick polish. The end result is a 'Shiney' Rok Star !!! Looks good and costs nothing more than your time and a few little bits.
The reason I used a razor blade ? It will bend slightly and that will stop it from marking the metal too much, a hard Stanley type blade would maybe mark the metal more and result in far more sanding.

Video 8 - The silver drip tipA quick video (a follow up to the 'Shiney Rok Star' video) on an Ego drip tip that I purchased from Healthcabin for the incredibly cheap price of 68p ! Needed a little work to get it to fit, just a few minutes with some sand paper/ emery cloth and it's done.

Video 9 - Boge cartomisers. An interesting spot of 'info' on the Boge Cartomiser for when it's attached to the Rok Star battery, I initially thought that it would defeat the air flow adjustment ring, how wrong was I ? Find out by watching this little video.
Seems a good idea when you are using very strong flavoured e-juices (like aniseed) and are obviously worried about permanently 'tainting' your Rok Star atomiser !

Video 10 (pts A & B) - The atomiser rebuild. Finally managed to finish the follow on video to the 'Atomiser strip down' that I did in video #2, I used Kanthal (type A) 0.15mm resistance wire to make the coil as it had the same resistance per cm as the original coil.

Video 11 - Tips 'n' Trix. Just a very short video on some very useful tips & trix on getting the very most out of the Rok Star, thus allowing you to reach the giddy heights of vaping 'Nirvana', lol.

Video 12 - PG vs VG. The old PG v VG debate, but this time on the Rok Star. The whole question was brought about by 'Wicking Issues' being mentioned in various vaping forums, so I thought that I would test out which would wick better PG or VG in a Rok Star electronic cigarette.

Video 13 - Cleaning the Atomiser. I found a simple and effective way to give the atomiser a really good refresh !

Video 14 - The Super Tank. I found a couple of UK vendors who sell this system for the very cheap price of £49.99, which includes FREE P&P. The set comprises of 2x 900Mah batteries, 2x tanks, 2x atomisers, 2x lids, 5x mouth pices, 2x spare air rings, a charger and an EGO zip up case for it all.

Video 15 - The ALD EGO 808 Review. I managed to get hold of an ALD EGO 808 kit from a fellow forum member at UKV (Waseemnawaz29) for £37 inc. P&P. This video gives you a complete picture of what you get in the kit compared to the Rok Universal Rok Star Kit.

Video 16 - The Rok Star 100 Day Review. An indepth look at the Rok Star's performance over the last three months, more than just a 'New product' review (as seen previously with the Rok Star), giving you all the information you really need to know about the practical side of running a Rok Star/ Super Tank/ ALD Ego 808.

Video 17 - The Direct Dripping SystemFinally managed to make a Direct Dripping System (DDS for short, lol) for the Rok Star. This little video gives you the low down on the DDS and a quick explanation of how to make one. This has got to be one of the best ideas for the Rok Star around, allowing you to test other e-liquids without having to fill up a tankful ! Works incredibly well and is not difficult to use either.
